Whole-Body Healing for Complex Conditions
ROOTED IN TRADITION, GUIDED BY YOU
Health is interconnected.
We know that health challenges rarely exist in isolation. What started as an issue in one system of the body can move into other systems, and eventually you feel overwhelmed. Conversely if you lift up one system of the body the others will start to course correct as well.
At Singing Bird Health Partners, we approach your health from this interconnected view. Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal therapy, and personalized guidance offer a framework for addressing the root of the issue—not just the symptoms.

“I have been working with Andrea for over two years now and have found her approach, knowledge and skill to be outstanding. Her ability to hear what I'm saying on multiple levels has been a true asset in healing what ails. Chinese medicine can require some effort from the patient and Andrea truly works to develop a treatment plan to meet with success. I can't recommend Andrea's skill, talent and vivacious personality enough.”

Chinese Medicine for All Ages
GENTLE, RESPECTFUL MEDICINE—FOR ALL AGES AND WALKS OF LIFE
At Singing Bird Health Partners, we believe healing belongs to everyone. That’s why our practice is open to all—kids to elders, veterans to new parents, people navigating complex diagnoses or simply seeking better balance.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with:
Children and teens, using gentle, low-intervention treatments to support healthy development, focus, digestion, and immunity. Kids respond beautifully to Chinese medicine—often quickly!
Elders, with care that honors the wisdom and complexity of the aging body. Treatments can help ease joint pain, improve energy, and support memory, digestion, and emotional well-being.
People from all walks of life, with all kinds of stories—because everyone deserves to feel heard, cared for, and empowered in their health.
I meet each person where they are, with respect, curiosity, and a treatment plan that fits their life.
Chinese medicine has room for all of us—and I love seeing what’s possible when we create that space together.

You're not alone in this — and yes, we can absolutely work around it. I’m fully prepared to adapt your treatment to meet your needs, especially on high-pain days.
There are many ways to position the body for comfort and support. If lying on your back isn’t possible, we can work with side-lying, face-down (prone), or semi-reclined positions — whatever feels best for you in the moment. I have a wide variety of bolsters, pillows, and soft folded blankets that I use to create customized support systems. These allow us to take pressure off sensitive areas while still accessing the body effectively for treatment.
We’ll communicate closely during your session to make sure you feel safe and supported every step of the way. My goal is always to help you feel better — not to push through pain or discomfort.
If you’re unsure whether a session will be possible for you right now, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help.

Yes, acupuncture is absolutely safe during pregnancy when performed by a trained practitioner. In fact, it can be a powerful support through all stages — from easing nausea and fatigue in the first trimester to preparing the body for labor in the third.
As a practitioner, I’m trained to know which points are safe and which should be avoided during pregnancy — particularly those that can create too much movement or overly stimulate the uterus. The approach during pregnancy is always gentle and intentional. The goal is to do only what’s needed to encourage the body toward balance and relief.
I’ve completed additional training specifically in pregnancy and prenatal care, and I take a cautious, informed, and nurturing approach with all pregnant clients. Whether you're experiencing discomfort, emotional shifts, or just want to support your overall wellness during this time, we’ll work together to create a treatment plan that feels right for you.
If you have questions or concerns before your visit, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to talk through them with you.

When treating children (anyone under 18), I always begin with a phone consult with the parent or guardian. This gives us a chance to talk about your child’s specific needs, their temperament, and any previous experiences with healthcare or bodywork. It also helps me plan a treatment approach that feels safe and supportive for everyone involved.
For younger children — typically age 10 and under — I often use pediatric tuina, a gentle and effective form of acupressure based on Chinese medicine principles. It’s completely non-invasive and can be a great introduction to treatment without the use of needles. For older kids and teens, I may start with tuina and gradually introduce acupuncture if and when it feels appropriate.
The initial phone consult ensures we’re aligned and helps your child feel more at ease when they arrive. My goal is to create a calm, respectful environment where your child can receive care in a way that works for them.

Most people find acupuncture to be a comfortable and even relaxing experience. The needles are very thin—much finer than those used for injections—and are typically painless upon insertion.
Yes, when performed by a licensed practitioner, acupuncture is very safe. We use single-use, sterile needles and follow strict hygiene protocols.

The short answer is: not entirely — but I’m committed to making access as easy as possible for everyone.
Due to changes made during the pandemic, the building's front entrance no longer has an automated door button, as a key code entry system was installed. To work around this, I’m happy to personally meet you at either the front or back door — just give me a call or text when you arrive.
While the building lost its designated handicap parking spot when Nike Biketown moved in, there is typically ample parking available on the side street, NW Elliott Ave. It’s a wide, low-traffic street, and the corner of 12th and Elliott has a zero-rise curb, allowing wheelchair access to the sidewalk and building entrance.
The entrance to my space is on the first floor. The front door is 35” wide, and the treatment room door is 30” wide. The building’s bathroom includes a large stall with handrails and a low sink for accessibility.
If you have any questions or want to talk through access needs in more detail, I welcome you to schedule a Zoom or phone call — I’ll do everything I can to ensure your visit is smooth and comfortable.

Chinese herbal medicine uses plant-based formulas—roots, leaves, flowers, and seeds—sometimes combined with minerals or other natural ingredients. Formulas are customized to your needs and aim to treat the root of your condition, not just symptoms.
